Foundation Innovatief Zijpe (SIZ) took the initiative for a competition to create a work of art that generates energy from wind. They want the inhabitants and visitors of the Municipality of Zijpe to experience the ever present wind in an exceptional way. The initiative is supported by ECN windenergy, Leader+, Foundation Kunst en Cultuur Zijpe and Created in Noord-Holland.
Together with 9 other artists I have been selected to make a proposal. A selection from my sketchbook is showing my idea generation alongside, resulting in my concept for the ‘dune hopper’.
I was selected to develop my concept and eventually realize it, and so were Carmela Bogman and Eibert Draisma.
