In this long-term project several designers were asked to develop new applications for jute in Bangladesh. The traditional jute bag was losing market share, next to that relief work was a goal too.
I focused mainly on NGO’s in the handicraft sector, that provide work for women in the rural areas. This resulted among other things in several collections of tassels and embraces for the western commercial market.
