week of the sea
This large exhibition was the central event of the first ‘Week van de Zee’ (Week of the Sea) in the Netherlands. All elements related to the sea could be experienced.
The exhibition covered the whole fortress-island. You could get there by boat, and investigate the island yourself. In the fortress as well as on the island you could find exhibits and works of art, stories were told, poems were whispered, listen to music or the marine telephone, walking in the fog, taste salt, smell seawead, a whale would blow, you could pet a jellyfish, or watch a movie.
