A young guy is picked from school to design a new fantastic computer-game: Billy the Kid. He gets lost in the legends around Billy and the improbable world of the Wild West, in which the dilemma ‘do or die, kill or be killed’ is exalted. Slowly fantasy and reality are being mixed more and more.
Moving slides and video projections colour the scenes, supported by soundscapes. The sand on the floor is used to draw and write in. The pallets function as a plan for the various locations.
The piece is based on ‘The collected works of Billy the Kid’ by Michael Ondaatje.
